DHV is well versed with the critical importance of international/national transport systems for regional and national trade and economic development, as well as for maintenance of law and order and security.
DHV brings of over 35 years in the planning, designing, construction and maintenance of national highways transport systems in the eastern Africa region, especially Uganda.
Working with the mandated government Ministries and Departments and Agencies, international infrastructure financing organizations and bilateral agencies; DHV has gathered experience in the planning and management of the complete project cycle of infrastructure projects for national/regional transport corridors.
DHV has cultivated a niche with investors from United States of America (USA); Europe (Italy) and the Middle East (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Oman) who are interested in investing in Sub-Saharan Africa in sectors including financial services, transport infrastructure, hydropower and solar power, information technology and telecommunications, construction, Oil and Gas, mining, trade and tourism, agriculture, timber, etc.
DHV is participating in the implementation of the tripartite protocol between Central Africa Republic (CAR) with the neighboring East Africa countries of South Sudan and Uganda on regional economic cooperation.
Meanwhile, for the CAR, DHV has obtain on immediate opportunities and is building frameworks for business partnerships and developing project proposals co-joining the needs of the investors with those of the various countries in the region. The range of business frameworks include concessions, co-concessions, production sharing agreements, joint ventures, agencies, etc.
DHV has discussed tentative financing of feasibility studies with some of the investors while it is assisting other investors with Expressions of Interest (EoI) for infrastructure financing using resource financed infrastructure development model.
Furthermore, with its experience and networks with global investors interested in developing infrastructure in Africa, DHV possesses legal capacity to design legal frameworks for business partnerships between private investors and national governments that address the project infrastructure financing challenges through leveraging the diverse national potentials. DHV is thus capable of both arranging project finance and planning and managing the delivery critical regional/national transport connectivity projects that are both constructed to international standards and are bankable.
