Within its experience DHV, planned the upgrading of 570 Km of two priority roads (Kapoeta-Boma-Raad (290 Km) and Yei-bangolo-Amadi (280 Km) for development of transit transport corridor connecting Uganda/DR Congo through South Sudan for access to Djibouti Sea Port via Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; to improve access to sea ports and facilitate trade and commercial in South Sudan and the East African Region.

Under an EPC+F Contract between the Government of South Sudan, represented by the Ministry of Roads and Bridges, and Makman Consultants/Group of Uganda, DHV prepared and implementation strategy and undertook procurement of Sub-Contractors for the Kapoeta – Boma – Raad Road.

Again within its experience DHV planned Design Updates and prepared detailed implementation plans for the Sub-Contractor, including determining sizes of construction lots; preparation of local materials plans through location of materials sources, testing and estimation of quantities for the road construction; siting of construction camps, materials processing camps such for Asphalt Plants and Concrete batching Plants, casting Yards for precast concrete elements; detailed construction topographic surveys; etc.

DHV also prepared plans for supervision and for project management by the Client/Employer.
